Spaces of imagination
In the works of Agnieszka Mori the medium of graphics is used as a basis for the artistic quasi-sculptural object. Pieces of old photography showing her family members were combined together in a form of colleague and settled inside the old TV screen. The question of the space as a link for the visual elements was treated here very literally. The spectator used to the TV set as a transmitter of the moving pictures see the three-dimensional elements set inside the screen as plane. This art piece reveals conventionality of human perception and propensity for automatic classification of the visual material presented in a conventional form.
